Farewell Argentina

After 2 months in Argentina, the time came to say Adios.

Argentina is an amazing country with more variety than I could have imagined. I´ve experienced the cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, the Lake District, the deep Patagonian South, the red wine and the red meat and I have not once been disappointed by this country.

I left Argentina on a massive high after visiting Iguazu Falls.  It is everything I imagined it to be, it´s size, magnitude and power takes your breath away.

The guidebooks are correct in the way you should experience Iguazu; take two days and visit from the Brazilian side for the panoramic view and to understand the overall scale...

And then visit from the Argentinian side to get up close and feel wholly insignificant against a natural wonder of the world.

Also on offer on the Brazilian side of the border is a bird park ... which was just the icing on the cake for the day.  Seeing such amazing jungle and rain forest birds in real life was fabulous.  The reserve allows you to go into the aviaries and so you can see them and all their glorious colours up close.

Iguazu Falls really was the perfect finale for my time in Argentina... Next stop Brazil!
